Fishing Report In Port O'Connor

Redfish 2023!

It's looking like a promising season for anglers targeting redfish. The bay is teeming with schools of these prized game fish, making it an opportune time to plan your fishing trip.

Redfish are known to be aggressive feeders and can be found near shallow water flats, oyster reefs, and grassy areas. Using live bait such as shrimp or mullet can increase your chances of a successful catch. However, artificial lures like soft plastic baits or topwater have also proven effective when targeting redfish in Matagorda Bay.
